Ikego Elementary School provides developmentally appropriate learning experiences that teach students to:
- Problem solve, think critically and be able to access and process information effectively
- Make responsible choices
- Be courteous, productive citizens, and
- Be lifelong learners

Guiding Principles
Each child’s potential
To ensure the realization of each child’s potential, we encourage lifelong learning by providing a safe environment that meets the individual needs of each child. We utilize developmentally appropriate practices to address various student learning styles.
School Environment
The school provides an environment where students function as individuals and work cooperatively within a culturally diverse peer group. Every student develops awareness of his/her learning capabilities in an environment that supports problem sharing, decision making, and academic achievement. Students are encouraged to view risk taking and mistakes as learning tools. The school provides the student with a central link to the United States.
Ikego Staff
Operating internally the Ikego Elementary School staff utilizes clear, concise, timely multi-lingual communication among themselves, students, parents and the community. We develop professional relationships that encourage innovation, experimentation, respect, and acceptance of each other.
