MISSION
"The role of the library media program is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information. The library media program supports the curriculum by providing adequate resources, personnel and training so that both students and teachers become independent users of information."

PROGRAM & SERVICES
Resource Based Learning
Encourages students to become lifelong learners. Students learn how to access a variety of learning resources, develop independent learning skills and acquire a basic body of knowledge.

Information Literacy Skills
"The Big 6 is an information problem solving model that integrates search and use skills with technology tools in a systematic process to find, use, apply and evaluate information for specific needs and tasks." The focus is on process as well as content." Big6

Literature Appreciation
Storytime, read alouds and special literacy projects
Book Fairs

Curriculum Support
Support the DoDEA standards, curriculum and diverse learning styles.
Introduce students to the use of OPAC, the electronic card catalog.
Technical services: order, catalog and process materials.
Provide a common center for school/community use.
